St Sophia’s School Parents and Teachers Association was founded in 2011 with the aim to support the school through a series of different events and activities which are aimed at adults and children alike.

Since its founding St Sophia’s school PTA has helped the school enormously by providing much needed school books and photocopies; organising a mobile library that goes round each class every week and allows children to choose their own reading material; purchasing a PA system; and generally assisting the school in a number of different ways. As well as fundraising, the PTA is a focal point for parents to meet and enjoy each other’s company at several social events during the year. It can also be a voice for parents who have any concerns or ideas to discuss, and would rather talk to other parents first before discussing it with the teachers.

All parents become members of the PTA when their children start at St Sophia’s. Joining the PTA is an excellent and a very rewarding way to become involved in the school.
