It is my pleasure to welcome you to St Sophia’s School. We are a school for boys and girls aged 4-17, located in Pimlico, that meets every Saturday morning and teaches the modern Greek language and culture.

At St Sophia’s we believe in the transformative power of learning, and we are committed to offering the very best of Greek education providing an environment where every student can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Our school has a rich history of academic excellence in GCSE and A Level exams, and we are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing this legacy. With a team of highly skilled educators and an engaging curriculum, we aim to equip our students with the language skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world.

But St Sophia’s School is not just about academics; it’s a place where values are instilled, and friendships are forged. Our close-knit community of around 300 pupils is a special one and our students are compassionate, respectful, and responsible. Unique to St Sophia’s are our annual school magazine as well as our festivals and celebrations: 28th October, Christmas, Greek Carnival, 25th March, End of Year Fête. These all foster a sense of family community and reinforce the friendly atmosphere of our school.

Our website serves as a virtual gateway to our school, offering you insights into our programmes, activities, and the vibrant life of our school community. Whether you are a parent seeking information about admissions or a visitor curious about our school’s ethos, I hope you find this website informative and engaging. However, a website can never truly convey the spirit and warmth to be found inside a school’s walls, and so I would very much welcome you and your children to come and experience St Sophia’s positive culture for yourselves. It will be a pleasure to show you everything we have to offer.
