On Saturday 9th February our school proudly celebrated the International Greek Language Day. We all attended a special assembly where we listened to a beautiful poem by Titos Patrikios entitled “My Language” as well as to A Level students’ thoughts on the significance of our unique language. Each class also worked on a variety of language projects from attempting to speak in a local dialect to finding Greek words that are commonly used in English and experimenting with writing in Linear B.
