On Saturday our A Level students attended a Rebetiko evening organised by the Greek Library of London, exploring one of the most iconic and expressive genres of Greek music that they study as part of their Modern Greek A Level!
Through stories, melodies, and live performances, they discovered how Rebetiko expresses the soul of Greek society — its struggles, hopes, and resilience — while learning more about Vasilis Tsitsanis, one of its greatest voices and composers.
A heartfelt thank you to the Greek Library of London for this inspiring cultural experience, a perfect example of learning beyond the classroom!
