I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Warm wishes.
Our Nursery and Reception pupils created some beautiful Christmas cards which they proudly sold at the PTA Christmas Bazaar on Saturday.
What a great day we all had on Saturday with the amazing turnover of £689.50 for the benefit of our school. Huge thanks to our PTA, who organised the event, and to all our parents and pupils for their help and support!
Please note that on Saturday 5th December our school will not be housed at the main site of St Marylebone School but at St Marylebone 6th Form Centre, which is located approximately behind Waitrose, at 14 Blandford Street, W1U 4AZ. Classes will run as normal from 9.30-11.00am and will then be followed by a Christmas bazaar organised by the PTA. Pupils will need approximately £10 each if they want to participate in every activity. Parents are welcome to join the bazaar if they wish so, otherwise they need to pick up their children from the above address at 1.15pm.
Dear parents,
The PTA is organising a fundraising Christmas party on 5th December 2015 at the school on Blandford Street, from 11am onwards, and all the parents are invited to attend.
There will be an opportunity to buy gift items and festive treats, and take part in lots of fun festive activities in aid of the school, that we are sure the children will want to participate in. Therefore it is recommended that the children have pocket money with them (or a parent or two!). You will need around £10 per child.
We will need lots of donations of little toys, gifts, prizes and individually wrapped confectionery to be brought to school in the morning of 28th November.
We will also need lots of party finger food contributions from everyone for the food stall on 5th December, such as sandwiches, sausage rolls, spinach pies, crisps, biscuits, festive treats, juices and fizzy drinks. These are to be brought to the main hall in the morning.
If you are able to assist in the preparations or run a stall on 5th December, please email pta@stsophiasschool.com, or just come and find us.
The PTA’s funds are used to provide assistance with purchasing additional materials for the school and to fund the mobile library, which will commence again in January.
Kind regards,
The PTA.
Year 2A pupils honoured, in their own way, the anniversary of “Polytechneio”. In our assembly, on Saturday, they presented the posters they made reminding everyone the students’ resistance against the dictatorship in November 1973, and stressing that Freedom and Democracy are always conquered with struggles and sacrifices.
Please note on Saturday 14th November our school will not be housed at the main site of St Marylebone School but at St Marylebone 6th Form Centre, which is located approximately behind Waitrose, at 14 Blandford Street, W1U 4AZ. Classes will run as normal from 9.30-13.15 and parents will bring and pick their children up from the above address.
Our Reception A children expressed their creativity and made some lovely Autumn trees on Saturday!
