This week, our Year 5 and Year 6 students led a powerful and reflective assembly, drawing inspiration from the experiential workshops on children’s rights they participated in last weekend, organised by the Network for Children’s Rights.
The assembly focused on key rights outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, including the right to love and be loved, the right to express one’s opinion, the right to live with no violence, and the right to education and a family. Through thoughtful presentations and personal reflections, the students reminded us all that children’s rights are not only important to know, but to respect and uphold—every day, in every place.
Bravo to Year 5 and 6 for taking what they learned and turning it into something meaningful they could share with the whole school community.
Let’s keep the conversation going — because every voice deserves to be heard. 🎤💛
